I build iOS products — and I've been doing it long enough to remember when Swift was the new kid. Most of my fifteen-plus years have been spent at the early, messy, exciting stage: leading iOS at startups where you own everything from architecture to App Store review. I've shipped apps for respiratory patients, sports fans, gig workers, and online shoppers, and along the way I learned the skill I value most — turning an ambiguous product idea into something polished that people actually use.
In 2022 I went back to school — a postgraduate degree in artificial intelligence at Georgian College — because I could see where software was heading. Today I architect AI agent systems: LLM-powered agents with real tool use, retrieval pipelines that ground them in truth, and on-device intelligence with Core ML. The bet I'm making is simple: the next generation of great products will be agentic, and they'll live on the devices I've spent my career mastering.
